It’s not easy for any of us to wake up on a Monday, but one GO train’s sleepiness is causing extra havoc for commuters today.

Metrolinx is predicting delays of up to two hours on four of the network’s seven transit lines this morning. While the agency originally chalked it up to “signal issues,” it is now reporting that the culprit is a disabled train just west of Union Station.

An image published by the Toronto Star shows the train’s locomotive on one track, a coach derailed from that track at a dramatic angle and the rest of the train upright on an adjacent track. Initial reports indicate that there were no injuries, per the Star.

Metrolinx is advising all passengers heading to Union to ditch GO and opt for the TTC as an alternative, which has led to massive crowding across the network.

According to Metrolinx, trains will not be able to pass through the area until the issue is resolved. So if you’re still on your way to work, it may be time to start lowering your boss’s expectations.
