Target Canada is hiring everything from buyers to assistants for its 2013 opening

Target Canada launched its careers website yesterday, proving that even though some may frown upon American investment in Toronto’s retail market, at least the mega-brand is creating many job opportunities. There are currently 68 jobs listed, not including what will likely be thousands of calls for cashiers and stockboys and girls. Target plans to hire 500 people for its head office in Mississauga, and 35 senior positions have already been filled. Among the open positions are several buyer and senior buyer opportunities and, for our inner neat freaks, managers of organizational effectiveness (we’re almost positive this could-be-a-made-up job title requires more than being good with labels, boxes and a broom).
