It was announced this afternoon that the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Toronto will be partnering with Birks to provide a one-night “Warm Your Heart” romantic getaway package for a mere $1,795 ($2,195 for two nights, if you’re feeling extra romantic and generous). Here’s what your money will get you: a one-bedroom suite (one bed, obviously); a complimentary bottle of champagne (okay, sounds pretty standard); a bouquet of roses (there’s nothing quite like receiving such a romantic gesture from a hotel concierge); a personalized note waiting in-room (a whole note that won’t be sexy because it is being dictated to a booking agent); a complimentary set of champagne flutes from Birks (to drink the complimentary champagne, natch); and a $1,500 gift certificate toward a piece from Ivanka Trump’s jewellery collection (and if your wife, girlfriend or mistress doesn’t like Ivanka’s jewels, then that’s her problem). are some women that easily bought…
its all a scheme to pull the wool over the general public’s eyes and potential buyers. how else you going to get people interested in the building which is pinned in by a majority of neighbors which are bigger then they are. I mean look at the renderings of what they are trying to sell and what the reality is. Common people. Not to mention they request work for their marketting scam and then don’t pay for it.Typical Trump tactics of step on the little guy but i expected better of Talon.
So let me get this straight:
$1500 gift certificate for beautiful Ivanka Trump jewellery
$400 cost of hotel suite for one night
$100 approximate cost of bottle of champagne
$100 cost of two of Birks ‘cheap’ champagne flutes
=$2100
=$1795 amount they are charging for package
=$305 value
Is there something wrong with this, why are some of you hating on this? Lots of hotels around the world offer all kinds of high end packages. If I was in the market to buy a piece of Trump jewellery I would probably go for this.
