Every year, Torontonians bid farewell to winter and revel in the return of summer: warm weather, sun-filled outings and, best of all, patio season.
One of the coolest places in the city to enjoy the hottest time of year? The Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood.
Already the premier destination for food, fashion, wellness and culture in Toronto, Bloor-Yorkville transforms into a pedestrian-friendly oasis once the seasons change, filled with everything you need to create the perfect summer day.

The Gelato Shop by Coco Espresso Bar (29 Bellair St.) This charming gelato parlour, complete with an extended outdoor patio with CaféTO on Bellair Street, features a wide selection of distinctly Italian sorbets and gelatos in such flavours as amarena cherry, amaretto, bacio, stracciatella and tiramisu, all crafted using recipes passed down through generations.

Nut Bar (Village of Yorkville Park, 102 Bloor St W.) This superfood-focused café’s nut milks are all made from scratch in-house. Choose from smoothies, breakfast bowls, topped toasts (try the salted date caramel and tahini) and salads, or grab a feel-good booster shot to fuel your day out.

Summer’s Ice Cream (101 Yorkville Ave.) One of Bloor-Yorkville’s most beloved spots, this parlour has been serving up small-batch homemade ice cream, sorbets and frozen yogurt for more than 40 years, with deliciously imaginative flavours, including Toronto Pothole and Credit River Turtle, all made fresh daily.

Live music at an outdoor venue is synonymous with summer in Toronto, and Bloor-Yorkville’s annual Summer Music in the Park returns to the Village of Yorkville Park from July 1 to September 7, 2026. This free music series celebrates diverse acts from across Canada, including jazz artists, indie performers, Latin and Celtic musicians, R&B and soul singers and instrumental artists. Performances take place (weather permitting) on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

L.L. Bean (Manulife Centre, 55 Bloor St W.) Durable, fashionable high-quality clothing for men, women and children is at the core of this renowned retailer’s roster.
