Fans of lumberjacks, Canada or even just gentlemen with beards in plaid shirts will enjoy Toronto-based designer Anneke van Bommel’s Canadiana accessories. Bommel takes classic Canadian iconography—like axes, moose and, um, playfully wrestling grizzly bears—as inspiration for her series of jewellery, which she sells at her Etsy shop Touch the Dutch. While brooches are typically the province of ladies and the occasional dandy, Bommel offers a huge selection of pieces that would suit even the most masculine of men (even if the axe brooches above could hardly break the skin of a finger).
