In April, we awarded Cabbagetown’s F’Amelia the seventh spot in our list of the year’s best new restaurants. Now Maurizio Verga, the Bergamo, Italy–born chef responsible for the northern Italian menu that won us over, is leaving. In fact, his last service is tomorrow night. After that, he’ll be spending January in sunny Costa Rica before returning to Toronto to work on as-yet-unannounced new ventures.
