The latest effort by Toronto’s culinary community to help victims of last month’s earthquake is the Chefs for Haiti Fundraiser—a hands-on cooking event on Wednesday, February 10, at which participants will create a seven-course Haitian-themed dinner. At their assistance will be Therese de Grace and Karen Balcom (Lola’s Commissary), Fiona Lim (George), Andrea Nicholson (Great Cooks on Eight), Olivia Bolano (All the Best Fine Foods), Jayne Dunsmore (Jayne’s Gourmet Catering), Katherine Hall (Hall’s Kitchen) and Brenda Kwong Hing (Delicious Catering). Funds raised will go to Doctors Without Borders, and tax receipts will be issued for the $100 donation. Proceeds will be matched by the Canadian government, making this the ultimate 2-for-1 deal.

• Chefs for Haiti Fundraiser, 401 Bay St., 8th flr., 416-861-4333. Feb. 10, 6 p.m. $100.
