First impressions that last

Private dining enclaves provide your own personal sanctuary to indulge in exceptional (and reasonably priced) surf and turf. Upstairs, a lively rooftop lounge caters to a vibrant late-night crowd and intimate event spaces are ideal for hosting groups.

The menu is designed to attract a wide audience for various outings, whether it’s an intimate dinner, a special occasion or an after-work mixer. The service is the cherry on top, with servers who go above and beyond to ensure you feel right at home.

But, of course, the food is the star of the show.

A menu to savour

Offering up plenty of top-quality meat and vegetarian options, chef CJ Blodgett and his team incorporate the highest-quality ingredients in every dish.

Signature to this location: the Fresh Shucked Oysters. Forget dainty and flavourless—these East and West Coast oysters, which are prepared at a branded Moët and Chandon oyster bar, are sourced locally, guaranteeing freshness and quality year-round. The Chili Garlic Shrimp is another top choice, smothered in a mix of white wine, brandy and butter with a hint of spice.

If surf isn’t your thing, the turf apps are equally exceptional, like the Birria Spring Rolls stuffed with tender braised beef served alongside a cilantro lime crema and adobo broth. The Nashville Chicken Wings, Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese Dip and top-selling Steak Bites are worthwhile standouts, too, offering the perfect level of spice.

Meat lovers will rejoice at the impressive selection of top-quality Steaks. Tender, melt-in-your-mouth cuts of 100 per cent Canadian beef are seasoned with a custom-blend Old Chicago steak spice, dunked in beef tallow and seared in a 1,800 F Montague grill to create the perfect crust. You’ll find no grill marks on these wow-worthy steaks, only an impeccable sear that locks in all the flavour.

The slow-roasted Prime Rib is prepared with fresh herbs, salt and pepper—simple yet effective spices to highlight this showstopper. It’s served au jus, with seasonal vegetables and your choice of side (try the velvety mashed potatoes). To complete the Chop experience, add a starter soup or salad to any steak or prime rib entrée, and a side of classic béarnaise, chimichurri or peppercorn sauce. (Did we mention Atlantic lobster tail toppers?)

For plant-based diners, the Avocado Super Bowl with fresh greens, crispy chickpeas, candied pumpkin seeds, cauliflower rice and a lime vinaigrette is sure to impress. Add miso tofu to amp up the protein.

Fine finishing touches

Elegant desserts round out your meal. The Flourless Chocolate Torte offers just the right amount of sweetness with Amaretto mousse and vanilla anglaise. Dive into a rich and silky Crème Brûlée, or a New York Cheesecake infused with ice wine and ginger. For a true indulgence, don’t miss the one-of-a-kind Sticky Toffee Pudding Sundae, a warm and comforting classic solely available at this new location. Pair with a house-made espresso, cappuccino or latte for a hint of warmth to accompany your sweet treat.

Happy hour, perfected

Expertly crafted cocktails and a variety of local and international wines and beers complete Chop’s menu. Whether you prefer classics like a highball, an Ontario riesling or an Argentinian malbec, or elevated drinks like a Sparkling Sangria or Tony Mendez made with Casamigos tequila, maraschino liquor, lemon and toasted rosemary, there’s a drink to please every palate.

The Happy Hour menu is available every day from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. to close in the upstairs lounge, which boasts a DJ spinning tracks from Thursday to Saturday. Let the good times roll long past dinner time in this lively space that doubles as a massive all-season rooftop patio.

Situated just steps from the Financial District with direct access to The Path, Chop is a prime destination for gathering in any season.
