Toronto Public Health takes a stand against Jenny McCarthy

Toronto’s public health department is all riled up over The View’s decision to hire former Playmate and anti-vaccination activist Jenny McCarthy as its newest co-host. The agency, worried that McCarthy will use the platform to disseminate some scientifically dubious opinions, is even mounting a Twitter campaign to have her booted. Perhaps a little outside its purview, but hey: if Toronto Public Health wants to save daytime viewers from long confessionals about pubic hair and dirty talk with Donnie Wahlberg, we’re not going to stand in its way.
