A Dutch book-lending machine

What would be the best way to get kids to read more and eat less junk food? Turn vending machines into book depots. The Toronto Public Library is installing automated kiosks in Union Station that will dispense books, CDs and DVDs to entertainment-seeking transit users. The vending machines are slated for installation by 2012 and are similar to machines in place in Ottawa, Sweden, California and the Netherlands. We suspect they are meant to be a distraction for transit users while the station is under construction.
