Daniel Hutchinson Hutchinson’s paintings exist in what might be called a double world. Grooves and ridges in the works capture light differently as the viewer passes by, simultaneously revealing and concealing parts of the subject. Four at the Winch Quebec Toronto Dance Theatre occasionally showcases the work of Québécois choreographers at the Winchester—a.k.a. the Winch. For this 11th instalment, three of the four—Estelle Clareton, Lina Cruz and Deborah Dunn—are women, while Jean-Sébastien Lourdais is the lone male of the featured group. Find out more »

Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra With Wynton Marsalis This show is something of a 50th birthday party for Marsalis, whose eloquence, both on the trumpet and as a spokesperson for jazz, has made him one of America’s most venerable cultural ambassadors.
