TD Bank, like most of Toronto, wants to make it big in New York

Another entry to add to our file of Torontonians looking to make it in New York: Toronto-Dominion Bank, which wants to be the city’s third-largest bank within the next four years. Earlier this morning, CEO Ed Clark said TD “has big plans in the Big Apple,” intending to add 50 new branches and hundreds of new staff in the city. And though gunning for bronze sounds kind of—well, Canadian—those moves would put TD among the likes of American giants JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup, which isn’t too shabby.
