David Miller emerges from hiding to tease radio listeners about Transit City

Former mayor and self-professed “carpool dad” David Miller is making a few media stops before delivering a TED Talk this coming Friday. In a NewsTalk 1010 interview this morning, Miller was critical—but, we have to say, pretty restrained—about Rob Ford’s decision to proclaim Transit City dead. And for those fearing a future of over-crowded buses, Miller said that the legwork on much of Transit City is already done. In fact, “You could turn it on like a switch.” In addition to Transit City, Miller’s interview even touched on President Ronald Reagan’s legacy and climate change. In other words, the kind of lofty subjects we’re not used to dealing with at city hall these days. Listen to the entire interview [NewsTalk 1010]»
