More than half of Toronto’s Lingerie Football League team resigns over equipment issues

Sure, it might seem predictable that there would be equipment issues in the Lingerie Football League, but this is still pretty ridiculous. Twenty members of the Toronto Triumph, including Krista Ford, niece of mayor Rob and daughter of councillor Doug, have now left the team amid complaints of “shoddy” equipment that caused sprained ankles and concussions. (Also, the team had no medical staff.) On top of that, players weren’t exactly confident in their coaching staff—one former player told the Toronto Star that she felt like they were being led by a golf instructor—and the one competent staffer, who players hoped would take over coaching, was effectively fired.
