Poor Gordon Chong. The man who Rob Ford shouldered with the impossible task of making his Sheppard dream a reality is behind on his homework: he says “a lack of resources” will prevent him from meeting his Christmas deadline for presenting a business case on the subway extension. Chong still insists the slowly dying (or perhaps already dead) Sheppard line can be kick-started through a public-private partnership—but we suspect he’s only saying that because that’s what Ford wants him to say.
