Ten things Anna Silk can’t live without

The city’s most famous succubus began her final season on the hit Showcase series Lost Girl this month. Here, the 10 things she can’t live without

My son’s art My one-year-old, Samuel, made this painting for me on Mother’s Day this year. His babysitter helped him with the words.

My skin saver I became obsessed with Ayurvedic sesame oil when I was pregnant. I rub it all over before a shower to soften my skin. It makes me smell a bit like a stir-fry, but only for a minute and a half.

My peppermint tea I drink it pretty much all day, every day. It’s equal parts energizing and relaxing. President’s Choice is a great brand.

My favourite app I upload my scripts onto my iPad and use Rehearsal 2, an app that lets me record the whole thing and run my lines. When we’re shooting, it’s like being in final exams every day. The app makes memorization so easy.

My watch Two friends from Fredericton came to visit me in L.A. and wanted to buy something on Rodeo Drive. Everything was too expensive, so we went to the Guess store and bought matching watches.

My Day-Timer I tried keeping my schedule on my phone, but I need to see the whole week laid out before me. I admit, I’m not super tech-savvy.

My natural makeup Koh Gen Do was developed in the Japanese film industry for sensitive skin like mine. Jessica Alba mentioned it in an interview, and I’ve been using it for two years. It’s hard to find in Canada; I buy it at Barneys in Los Angeles.

My cookbook My mom bought me Easy Vegetarian One Pot, and it became my go-to cookbook. I’ve been vegetarian most of my life, but I started eating fish recently, and it’s really easy to incorporate into these recipes. There’s a sweet potato, coconut and chickpea curry I love. Nowadays, I add shrimp and scallops.

My extra-dark chocolate I can’t go below 85 per cent. Sometimes I’ll go all the way up to 99 per cent cacao, which is punch-you-in-the-face bitter. Either way, it gives me a little kick of energy.

My cats My husband, Seth, and I have three calicos. They travel with us everywhere and even have a set of matching bowls.
