What: Shinola
Where: 1000 Queen St. W.
When: Already open
Details: The Detroit-based label took over the coveted corner lot formerly occupied by Stussy at Queen and Ossington. The brand’s core offerings are beautiful bikes, impeccably crafted watches and luxurious leather bags. The new space will also feature a monogramming station.

What: Nordstrom
Where: Eaton Centre and Yorkdale Mall
When: Already open, October 21
Details: The American department store is opening two mammoth emporiums this fall (196,000 square feet in Yorkdale and 220,000 in the Eaton Centre). In addition to loads of high-end apparel, each space will have a sit-down restaurant—Bar Verde in the Eaton Centre and Bazille Restaurant in Yorkdale.

What: Uniqlo
Where: Eaton Centre and Yorkdale Mall
When: September 30
Details: For crisp fall days, Uniqlo’s ultra-light (and, at less than $100, ultra-affordable) down jackets are the perfect topper. The stores will also be selling their collaboration with former Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld, who puts a distinctly French twist on Uniqlo’s timeless basics.
