Pop-Up Pick: 9 carefully selected Etsy purveyors are coming to West Elm in Liberty Village

Toronto’s retail pop-up scene is gaining momentum, with new shopping opportunities emerging (and then disappearing) all the time. We’re keeping a lookout for the temporary shops you don’t want to miss.

Etsy is a virtual heaven of handcrafted creations, but with thousands of crafters selling their stuff it can be tough to separate the hokey doodads from the tasteful, one-of-a-kind gems. Enter Emma Reddington, an editor at Chatelaine and the interior designer behind drool-worthy decor blog The Marion House Book. She has used her impeccable good taste to whittle Toronto’s hundreds of Etsy artisans down to nine supremely talented local sellers, who will be hocking their goods tomorrow—that is, Saturday, April 26—at West Elm in Liberty Village. Shoppers can expect to find a mix of jewellery, accessories and home goods, including cool graphic totes from husband-and-wife design team Bookhou and linen creations from Pilosale’s Heather Shaw, whose whimsically printed cushion covers caught our eye at last winter’s One of a Kind Show. You can browse the full list of sellers on the West Elm blog.

Apr. 26. 1-6 p.m. West Elm, 109 Atlantic Ave., 416-537-0110, facebook.com
