In-between seasons definitely present a sartorial challenge—how do you still dress dapper when the temperature swings so wildly from hot to cool to cold? We visited menswear shop Nomad for an outfit that works well on warmer days and cooler evenings. It didn’t take long—the second location, which opened on Queen Street West last year carries many drool-inducing contemporary labels, from Engineered Garments and C ommon Projects to Junya Watanabe Man and A.P.C. Total cost: $1700.

141104 There’s plenty of time for your canvas rucksack this year, but perhaps you’ll feel cozier (and maybe cooler) in this black, limited-edition wool version (Image: Kevin Naulls) Filson bag, $285 6 in 1: an outfit from Nomad on Queen Street West https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone6-96x96.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone6.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone6.jpg 416 624 [] https://torontolife.com/shopping/nomad-shop-819-queen-street-west/slide/jun12allinone6/ jun12allinone6 0 0

141107 These are some serious shoes, but your feet will still breathe nicely. That airy down-there feeling is a result of the shoe’s expert craftsmanship, which is done by old-school English cobblers (Image: Kevin Naulls) Tricker’s of England ankle boots, $595 6 in 1: an outfit from Nomad on Queen Street West https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone4-96x96.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone4.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone4.jpg 624 416 [] https://torontolife.com/shopping/nomad-shop-819-queen-street-west/slide/jun12allinone4/ jun12allinone4 0 0

141108 Support Canadian design with some Texas plaid shorts from the Vancouver label Wings and Horns, because pattern is huge this summer. They’re light enough to go to the beach, but substantial enough to pair with a heavier piece to take you into fall (Image: Kevin Naulls) Wings and Horns shorts, $215 6 in 1: an outfit from Nomad on Queen Street West https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone3-96x96.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone3.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone3.jpg 624 416 [] https://torontolife.com/shopping/nomad-shop-819-queen-street-west/slide/jun12allinone3/ jun12allinone3 0 0

141109 Crew necks have taken over v-necks as the neckline of choice. Wrap this around your shoulders, '80s-movie-jock-villain-style when you have to brave the A/C or when it’s a particularly crisp evening (Image: Kevin Naulls) Robert Geller pullover, $185 6 in 1: an outfit from Nomad on Queen Street West https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone1-96x96.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone1.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone1.jpg 624 416 [] https://torontolife.com/shopping/nomad-shop-819-queen-street-west/slide/jun12allinone1/ jun12allinone1 0 0

141110 Yes, it’s supposed to be wrinkled like that. Some dudes will love this style because you don’t have to iron it at all. Just throw it on and go, whether you’re layering for evening, or leaving just the top few buttons open to showcase those proud few chest hairs during daytime wear (Image: Kevin Naulls) Gitman Bros. button-down, $195 6 in 1: an outfit from Nomad on Queen Street West https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone2-96x96.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone2.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone2.jpg 624 416 [] https://torontolife.com/shopping/nomad-shop-819-queen-street-west/slide/jun12allinone2/ jun12allinone2 0 0
Gitman Bros. button-down, $195
141106 Is it still cool to wear a watch? We think so. Stick with basic black for a contemporary, less-showy look (Image: Kevin Naulls) Timex watch, $225 6 in 1: an outfit from Nomad on Queen Street West https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone5-96x96.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone5.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jun12allinone5.jpg 416 624 [] https://torontolife.com/shopping/nomad-shop-819-queen-street-west/slide/jun12allinone5/ jun12allinone5 0 0
