Grown-ups shouldn’t get to have all the fun, which is why this week’s All-In-One visit took us to the uptown and upscale children’s boutique Advice From A Caterpillar. For those who see their offspring as the ultimate accessory, this airy boutique has something for everyone, whether they want their kid clad in an Italian Haider Ackermann –like a unisex flightsuit or frilly flowered pantaloons fit for a mini-princess. That’s the hallmark of the stores that bear the All-In-One stamp of approval: it’s one-stop shopping at its best. Check out our picks below for a six-item spring ensemble—brights are, after all, big this season—even if you’re wee. Total cost of outfit: $570.

Have only been to their pop up shop on queen, and after that experience I will never go to this store. I’m ok with indifference from staff, good with it in fact, I like to be left alone to browse, but when I’m actually pushed out of the way so they can return items to the rack while they natter on and whinge to each other, that’s another thing entirely. Actually had an arm full of merch that I put back because I was so put off.
Having moved to Toronto two years ago from Europe, I struggled to find any retail stores that catered for our kids. We then stumbled upon Advice from a caterpillar, what a wonderful store, fantastic owners and staff. They are a true example of what makes this country great and they have a fantastic idea of style and beauty. I would recommend anyone to take a trip to their store and I guarantee you will not only leave with some beautiful items but your children will be the best dressed in Toronto.
$570 for a CHILD’S outfit?? What a ripoff!!!
This article is absolutely ridiculous! Children’s clothes are one of the largest expenses parent’s will have to pay for over the course of their child’s life. They quickly outgrow their clothes, the clothes get tattered, dirty, shrink with washing, etc. I don’t have a problem spending extra on good footwear, as I understand the health science behind proper footwear or even a decent coat if it will keep my son dry and warm, but paying over $50 for a tank top? $170 jeans? Ridiculous!
