Address: 37 Hilton Avenue
Neighbourhood: Casa Loma
Agent: Susan Froese-McHardy and Don McHardy , Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd., Brokerage
Price: $1,899,000
The Place: A completely renovated, detached four-bedroom family home near Casa Loma.
The History: A LionFish Developments project, this home was gutted in early 2015 and fitted with new windows, new heating and cooling, new electrical systems and a tankless water heater. Some of the new finishes include white-oak flooring, heated bathroom floors, Hunter Douglas blinds, a Missoni Home carpet runner on the stairs, lighting by Lambert et Fils and designer wall coverings in the bedrooms.
Big Selling Point: With eight-foot ceilings, the 822-square-foot basement is a viable living space. It adds a living room, nanny suite, fifth bathroom and spacious laundry.
Possible Deal Breaker: The third-floor bathroom seems great to have, but the pitched ceiling could make showering awkward if the new owner happens to be tall.
By The Numbers:
• $1,899,000
• $6,424.14 in property taxes (2014)
• 2,300 square feet
• 822-square-foot lower level
• 8-foot ceilings in the basement

Actually seems like a very nice home and would be great for once I’m done condo living and starting a family.
Well of course the home of the week would be $1.9m when the article is written by a real estate agent. Got to make sure that the rubes fall in line and think prices like this are worth the return.
good i can live here with my one million children
The Barenaked Ladies will have to rewrite their “If I Had $1,000,000” hit song to adjust for inflation. They wouldn’t be rich nowadays with a million dollars.
You have 1.9M dollars? How about I help you with the whole starting a family part?
Haha… love at first sight. I’d likely need a mortgage so hopefully that doesn’t ruin my chances.
the house has no garage first of all. and does it even come with the furniture?
people in this country really are miserable. back in my home country, Pakistan, i can get about 50 houses like this for the same price ON CASH because pakistan does not have interest bearing laws like this evil capitalism induced income exploitative slavery concept called MORTGAGE.
dont get me wrong, beautiful house but way too overpriced. it seems like masses r being conditioned by elite to confine to even more limitations and stay content within that while the 1% continues to relax in their humongous houses.
this is absolutely ridiculous
Because of an editing error, the image at the top of this post showed the wrong house for a few days. (We got it right on publication, but subbed in the wrong photo a few days later while adding an image credit.) We’ve swapped in the correct photo.
