Condo of the Week: $750,000 for an uptown penthouse with a giant terrace
A year-old penthouse next to Wilson Station. There’s a kitchen, living room and dining area on the main level.
Here’s the living and dining area:
A closer look at the dining area:
It’s not clear why the photographer opted for a crane shot here, but check out that shiny floor tile:
There’s a balcony on the main floor:
The master bedroom is on the second floor:
There’s a very large rooftop terrace:
Yeah, the view is of a parking lot:
Real estate agent Justin Wise bought this place off plans several years ago and moved in with his wife and baby girl last December. They enclosed the loft bedroom to make a safe and quiet nursery, but left a window to permit natural light:
Now they’re moving north of the city to be closer to family.
Big selling point
Many of the million-dollar houses surrounding this place don’t have as much outdoor space. The penthouse has a gas barbecue hookup and a skyline view, so all it needs to make ground-dwellers jealous is some patio furniture and a bit of greenery. (Make that a lot of greenery.)
Possible deal breaker
The building is surrounded by parking lots, highway interchanges and Downsview Airport. That said, the Yonge line couldn’t be closer. Yorkdale is one stop south and Downsview Park is one stop north.
