Condomonium: $1.6 million for a penthouse with a hot tub on the wraparound terrace
ADDRESS: 138 Princess Street , Penthouse 5
NEIGHBOURHOOD: Moss Park
AGENT: Rizwan Malik, Homelife/Realty One Ltd.
PRICE: $1,599,900
THE PLACE: A two-level corner suite in the East Lofts, a mid-rise building on the edge of the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood. Soft lofts occupy the building’s upper levels, and its ground floor space is devoted to tenants both storied (Waddington’s Auction House) and convenient (Urban Barn).
BRAGGING RIGHTS: Relaxing in a hot tub high above the city feels very decadent—even more so when you know that the street had to be shut down for the crane to lift the tub onto the wraparound terrace.
BIG SELLING POINT: It’s not often we get excited about doorways, but the entry point to the master bedroom is downright fun. It feels like a secret passageway, thanks to the pivot entrance disguised as a wall.
POSSIBLE DEAL BREAKER: With exposed concrete ceilings above and porcelain tiles below, this penthouse could feel a little cold to those used to the warmth of wood floors and bright colours.

SOLD!!! I love it. And I wannt the furniture with it. Very nice and classy. It has that loft feel with a classy touch. The bedrooms are nice too and maint fee not bad. And I am NOT increasing the price for the furniture though.
Overpriced by about 600k. Good Luck getting that price!
I will never understand this fascination with exposed ductwork and concrete… Tell you what, you can live in my unfinished basement for only $750,000.
(Different tastes, of course. If you dig it, enjoy it! Just not my cup of tea).
Iggy, its called a true LOFT! I get the feeling your unfinished basement would creep me out more than the conrete! I love this place….awesome!!! Chuck you hit the nail right! But i think its a little overpriced.
out of all the listings on toronto life, this one is one of my all time favorites. what a great place with a super location that has excellent future potential for a not so bad price tag. the monthly fees are managable and the building itself is gorgeous for a loft space. would definitely buy this properity if i had the dough.
Good looking unit with some very nice furnishings. I think this is more a soft-loft than an authentic hard-loft though. Personally, I would have replaced the floor tiling with some hardwood to warm it up, but different strokes for different folks.
Overall, a pretty nice unit but over-priced by at least $500K. At its current price, the competition is stiff as there are better options out there.
mmmmm First I thought “harem” then I thought “sterile” then I thought; the stairs to get up there. but be a biatch to get your furniture up there.
What is with all the ‘white condos’ ??
YUCK!
Wow, been looking for the right penthouse for awhile. Will check this one out for sure.
Love this unit but the white floors have to go. I’m living with a smaller area of white tiles and they will drive you batty in no time, there’s no way of keeping these clean.
CondomOnium? It’s spelled “condominium”.
LOVE IT! WANT IT! – LOVE the light and open feeling – awful concrete, ceilings tho’ kinda kills the ambiance. I’d paint the ceilings off white/cream or cover them with something more atheistically suitable and add more overhead lighting. I might even put mirrored doors on the closets…..such a SWEET patio…my cats and I would love living here….ahhh just dreaming.
