The Food: Rustic Italian primis, pastas and Roman-style pizzas designed to share. Mains include porchetta, whole branzino and agnolotti, and there’s a take-away sandwich counter open during the day.

The Drinks: Like Centro, Vita Sociale emphasizes its wine list, only without Centro’s $1000 vintages. Four beers are on tap—Blanche de Chambly, Okanagan 1516, Sleeman Dark and Sapporo—and classic Italian cocktails dominate the drinks menu.

The Place:Reclaimed wood walls, exposed brick and chandeliers have replaced traditional white linens.

The Numbers:
• 1000-plus bottles of wine
• 125-year-old barn boards
• 110 seats
• 30 bar stools
• 10 kinds of pizza
• 10 kinds of pasta
• 3 dining rooms
