The Place : A modern malt shoppe with flashy Broadway-style signage and counter seats only. The 1,000-square-foot space, formerly the White Squirrel Snack Shop, was designed to match Parts & Labour’ s minimalist aesthetic.
The Numbers:
• 130 lbs of beef per day
• 15 counter seats
• 7 burgers
• 6.5 ounces of beef per patty

I like how the photo captures the staff in their natural repose: disinterested/on phone.
Burgers look delicious but not I’m not a huge fan of those fancy buns.
What the hell is going on? Burgers at $15. Appetizers advertised as “The following plates are not large portions“ and most in the $15 range. Bring back the Burger joints that had Greeks running them like Square Boy on the Danforth.
Sorry but those weren’t burgers. You don’t put onions, garlic, parsley, eggs and scrap beef that had been ground in bulk in a large factory in a burger that has been pressed into a hockey puck; that’s meatloaf and at that not very good meatloaf.
why put this right next to bahn mi boys and the (sort of) new burger’s priest….
seems dumb
Things that make you go ‘Yuck!’
its pretty common, its because when you put similar places beside each other you draw from the same customer pool, instead of potentially splitting the customers. Its pretty sound economics actually, think about all the grocery stores and gas stations that are right next to each other.
