North Toronto institution The Belly Buster Submarines opens shop on King West
The Belly Buster Submarines has been fuelling a loyal fan base of Toronto teens and twenty-somethings with after-school snacks and post-bar eats for almost 40 years. Now the uptown institution has expanded south with a new shop on the King West strip alongside other post-club snack shops like Reggies, Wrvst and Lou Dawg’s. The space is sleeker than the uptown original, but the retro quirks, like ketchup- and mustard-coloured walls, are still there, as are the old-school turkey-bacon, meatball and cheesesteak subs.

The subs are still delicious but the service was horrible. Maybe the staff are just new and a little nervous but they need to at least pretend they’re not miserable.
We’re so sorry to hear you had a bad experience and thank you for your comments. This being a new venture, we greatly appreciate immediate customer feedback. We understand that making adjustments based on customer feedback is paramount to the success of this new location, and we only want to move forward delivering a positive experience along with the FANTASTIC FOOD!!!! Thanks again, The Belly Buster Submarines Team.
Maybe hire people who actually know how to make a sub and wanna work making subs. I love subs and asked for a job and know what I’m doing but I was denied a job. I now work at another sub place.
Go fuck yourself.
