Remys rooftop reopens as “Montage,” just in time for fall
Anyone who’s been grieving the loss of Yorkville’s longstanding rooftop bar can breathe a sigh of relief: the patio formerly known as Remys Yorkville is finally reopening, albeit in modified form. Now called Montage, the building at 115 Yorkville Avenue has been turned into a fancy restaurant and lounge with designated members-only areas, access to which can apparently be purchased for a hefty annual fee. The restaurant won’t be open until later this year, but the revamped rooftop area—complete with private cabanas and bottle service—officially “premiered” last weekend, just in time for the end of TIFF and the beginning of autumn. As for the overall vibe, the Montage website offers this: “Fly to the moon and play among the stars up on this vast rooftop space limited only by our Yorkville neighbours and your imagination. Sit, stir or be stirred; the choice is yours.” So, there you have it. Judging by some other aspects of the website, guests can also expect lots of quasi-Roman symbology and sexy ladies smoking cigars.

Hefty annual fee – let’s see how long that lasts! Lots of great places to eat & have a nice bottle of wine in Yorkville without paying a fee to enjoy!

The weather right now is perfect for the rooftop. The organic smoothie I had was actually unreal.
Montage is a lovely place with great ambience and really delicious food. Service was good too – a really nice evening all-round. I would recommend this place to others.
My new favourite spot in Yorkville. Food, service, general feel of the place…everything was fantastic Added bonus – our server wasn’t only beautiful and friendly, she was really attentive and helpful too.

Glad to see Remy’s rooftop being put to good use again. Montage has taken the space and really made it their own; I barely recognized it. Great crowd, too. Definitely coming back.
I had seen Mike Fusion before in Vegas. When I heard he would be at Montage last night I had to grab my friends and check it out. The atmosphere was incredible and the drinks were well made. Thanks DJ Mike for an awesome event!
If you really want luxury, then you have to order the “Bling” water from Montage’s water menu. (Yes, a water menu!) We have fine wines, beers and foods … why not fine water every now and then? Worth the splurge!
The Grilled Lamb Chops were out of this world!
As soon as I was brought onto the rooftop, I was hooked. The atmosphere, the decor, the service, the view … all amazing. Montage is solid in my books.
