Café Belong has adopted Ceili Cottage’s yurt
Last week the news broke that Leslieville (and Toronto, for that matter) was losing its one-and-only licensed yurt. After three winters, the Céilí Cottage was no longer allowed to erect the city’s most-beloved and unique winterized patio. But fans of the Mongolian rotunda shouldn’t fret just yet: it’s been relocated just east of the Don River, at the Evergreen Brick Works’ Café Belong. It will be just as intimate as before, but now, instead of Irish comfort food, chef Brad Long’s upscale farm-to-table dishes will be served in the 35-seat, candlelit room.
