Union is launching spin-off food shop Côte de Boeuf later this month

In late December, Côte de Boeuf popped up briefly at 130 Ossington Avenue to sell a variety of holiday provisions and then promptly popped back down. Now the food shop, a project from Union chef Teo Paul (his restaurant is just down the street) and his brother Chasen Gillies, is set to return permanently.Côte de Boeuf will focus on meats—including steaks from Scotch Mountain and burger patties from Union—and prepared dinners like duck confit and lamb stew. It will also sell high-quality pantry staples like oils, mustards and canned tomatoes, as well as a range of canned goods from Union, like habañero relish, rib sauce and butter pickles.
