Toronto Life unveils the second annual list of Toronto’s 50 most influential people

On November 7, Toronto Life gathered over 350 guests to The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto in an intimate, cocktail event to unveil the second annual list of Toronto’s 50 most influential people. Guests were welcomed in with an advance copy of the new December issue in which the list appears, while publisher David Hamilton and editor Sarah Fulford kicked off the celebrations with their opening remarks.

In attendance at the event included this year’s most influential: host of eTalk and The Social Lainey Lui, president and CEO of Porter Airlines Robert Deluce, TTC CEO Andy Byford, writer and Liberal candidate Chrystia Freeland, president and CEO of the Toronto Community Foundation Rahul Bhardwaj, and more. The evening was also joined by some of the city’s most notable personalities including president of Hudson’s Bay Company and 2012 Most Influential honouree Bonnie Brooks, interior designer and television personality Sarah Richardson, and television journalist and host Glen Baxter.

To add to the festivities, platinum sponsor BMW offered Influential honourees a luxurious lift with car service in their 7-series sedan, while event guests tried out the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 + Gear and sipped on Johnnie Walker Platinum in the tasting lounge. Bronze sponsor Garrison Bespoke also provided guests with a glimpse into the world of bespoke tailoring as they fitted the evening’s honourees with a special Most Influential piece to commemorate this year’s list.
