TIFF Party: The post-premiere bash for Night Moves morphs into a celebrity spotter’s wet dream

TIFF Party: Night Moves

Dakota Fanning was the only Night Moves star to show—and stay—at the official post-film shindig at Grey Goose Soho House. Co-star Jesse Eisenberg made the briefest of brief appearances and the film’s other star, Peter Sarsgaard, isn’t in Toronto this fest. But that’s not to say the private club was lacking in celebrity wattage last night: Jason Bateman, Ewan McGregor and Jennifer Morrison all hit the third floor of the hotspot to unwind. While Fanning shared a chair with her model boyfriend Jamie Strachan—the better to cozy up together—Morrison, fresh from the Gravity premiere, opted to stand, laughing with friends and sharing iPhone photos.

McGregor drank water for about ten minutes before fighting through the crush of people to get to the new rooftop bar, whose no-reporter policy has a lot to do with its popularity among celebrities. Jake Gyllenhaal also beelined to the rooftop with girlfriend Alyssa Miller upon arrival, and they were soon joined by Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, Julia Roberts, Jessica Chastain, Ralph Fiennes, Lars Ulrich and Dermot Mulroney. Oh, to be a fly on the wall.
