The Swag Series: NKPR’s IT Lounge, like Oprah’s Favourite Things, but in a TIFF gifting lounge

What it is: Another year of NKPR’s IT Lounge, hosted at their Adelaide Street headquarters. NKPR honcho Natasha Koifman has developed close relationships with big names through her association with Artists for Peace and Justice (for every new follower @NatashaNKPR gains during TIFF, she will donate $1 to APJ) so expect to see plenty of true boldface names strut through this gifting suite. Check out the celebrity swag after the jump.

Who goes: The media day was also dubbed “Canada Day,” so there were Canadian celebs galore, including Tara Spencer-Nairn, who had her lashes extended by Ardell, ex-supermodel Monika Schnarre, Toronto Maple Leafs Colby Armstrong and Tyler Bozak, and Colin Mochrie and wife Debra McGrath. But it’s not all typical local celebrities at IT Lounge—last year, Ryan Gosling, Leelee Sobieski and Matt Damon all stopped by, and this year, director Paul Haggis (who has teamed with NKPR to promote his foundation Artists for Peace and Justice) is expected to drop in.

What they get: Just because they’re famous doesn’t mean they don’t read—all guests visiting will get a Kobo e-reader with touch-screen capability. Proving mere Hypercolour tees are a thing of the past, ConScent, a brand of T-shirts with scent capsules infused into the fabric—aromas include apple and mint—will be gifted to stars. Degrassi stars Raymond Alblack, Luke Bilyk and Alicia Josipvoc (yes, we asked “who?” as well) were all enamoured with them. And if ladies (or vain, effeminate men) want to look their best on the red carpet, Ardell will outfit them with lash extensions while Stila does makeup. Anyone bulking up for their next role will love the decadent Baker Street confections (and Skyy Vodka drinks on hand), while the Trish Stratus yoga DVDs and Fila gear will get those looking to lose weight into tip-top shape.
