Last night’s Armani party pulled out all the stops: a black carpet studded with male models (like a sexy gauntlet), an array of celebrity guests, and the best possible view the city has to offer. Roberta Armani (Giorgio’s niece), along with producer and director Edward Zwick, invited guests up the CN Tower to host the world premiere of (bear with us, it’s a long one) Films of City Frames, a project involving students from six international film schools, each of whom created short films using Armani’s Frames of Life eyewear as a “perceptual filter.” Phew.

We spotted Josh Charles (most recently of The Good Wife, but we still remember him as the love interest in Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead), Nick Kroll (we’re sad to report he wasn’t sipping on cultured yogurt water), Elisha Cuthbert, Quvenzhané Wallis and Jully Black. Jessica Chastain sat and chatted with Chloë Grace Moretz, and though there wasn’t much actual dancing, DJ Mark Ronson managed to get Moretz, Chastain and Armani swaying in their seats. Our biggest disappointment: missing Richard Gere, who apparently sailed up the elevator just minutes after we hopped in a cab. (Denzel Washington also made a late showing).

We barely had time to let our ears pop (a 457-metre descent in under a minute feels worse than any airplane) before we made it to the next in a long series of Saturday night parties.
