Raptors Record Watch: Toronto’s basketball team chasing all-time lows

The Toronto Raptors are currently in the throes of a heated contest for two record lows: the worst mark in the NBA and the franchise’s longest-ever losing streak. Toronto is currently 13-36, four places out of the NBA basement, and mired in a 12-game skid, just five games short of the team’s record for most consecutive defeats. With that in mind, we’re introducing a new feature today: Raptors Record Watch.

We’ll be keeping tabs on the Raps as they race to the bottom of the NBA standings and as they chase the 17-game winless streak set by the 1997-98 squad. The team helped its cause on both fronts with a 104-93 loss to the hapless Indiana Pacers last night, its 12th in a row to fall. They’ll go for lucky number 13 tomorrow night on the road against the Atlanta Hawks. Start the clock.
