Rob Ford to Toronto Sun columnist Joe Warmington on Tuesday night. The mayor had just been tipped off that Toronto police investigators are seeking warrants that would give them access to records of calls made on his cellphones. The move is believed to be related to Project Brazen 2, an ongoing probe into the mayor’s activities. The offer was a surprising one for Ford to make, given that his interaction with police to date has consisted mostly of him and his brother hurling verbal abuse at chief Bill Blair. But then, the very next day…

“Why would I? Would you give up anything? Why would I give it up without a warrant?”
