1. The party is too Conservative? Or perhaps not ‘Progressive’ enough? First of all, Doug would have to look both of those words up in a dictionary before he said that. While he’s got the book open may I suggest he look up the words: racist, conflct of interest and boor.

2. I hope he continues to differentiate himself as I really don’t want “Ford Nation” to make this attempt and leading the provincial an actual thing. This way the conservative base outside of Toronto, who may not be as up on Doug Ford and his day to day absurdity, won’t make the fatal error of giving him a platform to speak from.

3. That’s all fine and dandy but the provincial Conservatives need a leader that inspires people to listen instead of a guy with defenders that are willing to circle the wagons and the drop of a pin. Is Doug’s style going to work outside of the GTA where people are generally cynical about anything that comes from the GTA? Do you think people who live in Sudbury are sensitive to the feelings of people in Etobicoke who don’t get to ride a subway to work?

I’m still wondering who this Doug “defender of social justice guy” Ford is and whether he’s the same Doug Ford who was a Toronto Councillor for years and basically spent his time alienating friends and annoying people and being an all around belligerent, bullying jerk whose idea of caring about lower income people was heading to TCHC buildings handing out 20 dollar bills, or giving people a free hamburger – is that the same guy?

6. This statement sounds purely political.
   As they mentioned in the write-up here, what was blamed for the Conservatives last loss? “uncompromisingly right-wing rhetoric”. What better way to stand out then to indirectly call out the previous administrations failures. Whether he is already in place as the Ontario PC leader and is being told to say this, or he is saying this of his own accord doesn’t matter, the end result is the same: “I am new blood and I will take the PC down a slightly different path to victory”

   One thing to remember about Doug Ford is that from a non-Toronto perspective, he looks pretty good…..He got about 1/3rd of the vote in traditionally more left-leaning Toronto!

7. Is this a opinion or news piece? The message Mr Kupferman is pushing:

   all right wing ideas are “rhertoric”
   progressive path = kinder gentler path
   being progressive means you are even-tempered, i.e. conservatives are not even tempered.

   Mr. Kupferman, do you even realize your bias is so transparent?

8. Why would anyone listen to the two village idiots who cried ”wolf”? Far too often their serial lies are met by libel suits which elicit unacceptable ‘apologies’ which are met by mea culpas where they Confess their disgusting lies. But if all their enemies are going on is videotaped public apologies viewed by tens of millions, forget it!, they simply have no credibility. These brothers are the most ‘outed’ liars in history. Never in human history, have two men, been so publicly exposed as potty mouthed liars. Even Baron Munchausen found it tiresome to tell the opposite of truth so consistently.
