Inside Peace Collective’s Ossington flagship, featuring plenty of ‘Toronto vs. Everybody’ tees
With casual apparel and an over-the-top dessert bar
Peace Collective, the local brand known for their ubiquitous “Toronto Vs. Everybody” and “Home is Toronto” shirts, opened the doors to its Ossington shop earlier this month. The brand’s first flagship is a minimalist, industrial space—except for its pastel-hued dessert bar, which serves up fancy milkshakes. The latest lineup of apparel includes a crewneck emblazoned with cursive text reading “Canadian Bae,” and a new blue-and-white Blue Jays line, which has tiny birds embroidered below Toronto-centric slogans.
The space was originally a gallery, and the label kept the original concrete floors and stark white walls. The lettering on the walls alludes to Peace Collective’s partnership with Breakfast for Learning (the brand donates $4 from every purchase to the initiative):
The front of the store is reserved for seasonal apparel. Right now, it’s dedicated to Blue Jays products:
This season’s ladieswear features cozy crewnecks and quilted bomber jackets:
We particularly love this denim jacket ($135):
There are plenty of T-shirt and tank top styles, made locally from pre-washed cotton:
This cheeky tee ($30) is sure to appeal to seriously patriotic shoppers:
The shop’s rose gold accessories are all from Umbra, and the tropical houseplants are from nearby florist Dynasty:
The brand recently collaborated with Toronto lingerie designer Mary Young on a sporty bra top ($74) and high-waisted undies ($54):
The dessert bar’s milkshakes are serious stuff. This strawberry-flavoured, candy-topped milkshake is called the “Big Pimpin’” ($8.50):
Here’s a vanilla milkshake topped with mini doughnuts ($8.50):
