Back when Marni and H&M first announced plans to collaborate, Marni director and co-founder Consuelo Castiglioni said that the brand’s signature tribal-meets-graphic prints would be well represented. Now that images have been released of all the goods, it’s clear she really meant it—at least for the womenswear collection. Silk shirts and trousers, wool sweaters and breezy dresses all feature beguiling combinations of tribal and graphic prints, polka dots and florals. Pairing the pieces with some great statement jewellery (we especially love the white and black chunky earrings and colourful beaded necklaces), Castiglioni successfully evokes Marni’s eclectic feel at H&M’s price point. The clothing for men is a little less exciting, with the patterns introduced more subtly into scarves and a few print shirts. Still, in a sea of much-hyped designer collaborations, this collection could actually be worth lining up for on March 8. Cool your heels until then with this gallery of every single piece (seriously, there are over 100 looks in total) in the collection.
