The Find: an eye-catching, cartoonish bag that looks 2D
We know we’ve been talking about bags a lot lately, but there just happen to be a lot of them out there that demand our attention. Take this Jump From Paper bag by Taipei-based designers Chay Su and Rika Lin, which we found at Studio Brillantine. One of the coolest accessories in Toronto, it’s a two-dimensional, hand-drawn illustration come to life as a canvas and polyester sack. While this awesome animated .GIF shows the model chomping on a two-dimensional croissant, the bag itself is actually quite roomy, and can easily hold a small laptop, a sandwich and the latest Redbook, say, plus various other day-to-day items (although a warning: the handles are only rated to three kilograms). It’s probably the closest you’ll get to feeling like you’ve escaped into your favourite cartoon. $94–$104.

Too bad it cannot be found on Studio Brillantine’s website which you direct us to. That is if you don’t have a week to navigate around it while it opens window after window. It is 2012 things should not be difficult.
