Toronto Fashion Week is something of an industry-only party, but IMG Fashion (which took over the semi-annual event late last year) looks set to change that with the spring 2014 presentations. Alongside the usual lineup of top Canadian designers showing at David Pecaut Square in late October, American mega-retailer Target is slated to send its street-friendly styles down the runway. (Judging by the packed room at every Joe Fresh show, it’ll be a popular ticket.) Also new this season: Fashion Saturday, an all-day, public event on October 26 that includes a runway show with highlights from the week, and a pop-up market where attendees can shop the latest from Canadian labels. The price to feel like a fashion insider: $75 a ticket.
