Target is opening nine new Canadian stores—including one in the Junction
Target doesn’t seem to be letting poor earnings and a security scandal hinder its plans for Canadian domination. The American discount retailer has announced plans to open nine new stores across Canada this year, bringing the total number of Canadian outlets up to 133. Toronto Target fans will be pleased to learn that the expansion includes an outlet in the Stockyards Mall at St. Clair Avenue West and Weston Road. Signage for the Junction addition has been posted since December, and shoppers can expect the store to open as soon as Spring 2014. A second new GTA outlet in the Erin Mills Town Centre will follow in the summer.
There are the standard recreational activities – 3,000 acres of parks, trails, arenas and leisure centres. Also, the
large man made Professor Lake has sandy beaches and provides wind surfing, canoeing and boating in the summer
