Indochino, maker of affordable custom suits, has finally planted roots in Toronto. After spending almost a year in a temporary showroom at King and Spadina, the B.C. brand has moved east, opening a full flagship near the St. Lawrence Market. Originally an online-only venture where men could enter their measurements and have a suit sent their way in less than a month, the new buying experience is pretty different. The two-storey, 4,000-square-foot space is filled with hanging fabric samples, dressed-up mannequins and computer stations to fill out fitting details. Guys can choose from over 30 custom options, including monograms or moustache-themed lining. There’s also a dedicated grooms’ lounge, complete with a foosball table and Nespresso bar. CEO Kyle Vucko says, “We see a great future in the city, and hope our stunning flagship store will inspire men across the city to dress their best every day.” We hope so too, because with custom suits so cheap (they start at $449), there’s really no excuse for this.
