Brits think Canada is 10th most attractive country
Tenth? We’ll take it. Five thousand Brits were surveyed in an on-line poll to rank the most attractive people in the world, and Canucks rounded out the top 10. In first place are Americans, followed by Brazilians, Spaniards and Australians.
Other countries that outranked us include Sweden, England, India and France, but there are easy explanations for this. The participants probably think everyone in the U.S. looks like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (obviously they haven’t seen People of Walmart). Brazil, Spain, France and Sweden are where supermodels are born, and Australians keep fit by surfing and playing volleyball in bikinis year-round. Also, India’s Bollywood industry probably made them think it’s a country of Aishwarya Rais. (And, of course, it’s not surprising that Brits would consider themselves not too shabby in the looks department.)
The Montreal Gazette says that Canadians are beautiful because of the country’s multicultural make-up, citing Coco Rocha, Jessica Stam and Irina Lazareanu as proof that we’re attractive. While we agree that multiculturalism is part of what makes Canada stand out, we’d like to point out that they selected three young, white supermodels as their examples of Canadian beauty.

hey whatever.. you seem to have some gripe against America and India. about that India comment about everyone not looking like Aishwarya’s. just because the rest of the population does not look like Aishwarya does not mean they are any lesser, not every Indian considers Aishwarya their ideal…
& you forgot that Lisa Ray (one of the most beautiful women in the world and a Candaian and Bollywood actress) is Canadian (of half European and half Indian stock).. be proud of Lisa Ray, for she is possibly the most beautiful woman of her times… ever in history.
Most other Brits would not know one from the other in terms of Americans or Canadians. I have nothing against them but we Canadians are very distinct from Americans in every way possible. We are much kinder and polite and friendly and willing to help in a crisis. Perhaps things have changed since I lived there but glad that now they know the difference.
