Adam Giambrone updates his marital status on Facebook
Former councillor and one-time mayoral aspirant Adam Giambrone recently married his long-time partner Sarah McQuarrie, according to, uh, Facebook. The Toronto Star reports that Giambrone changed his marital status on Facebook, provoking an outpouring of likes and comments. Apparently the wedding took place at One King West, although Giambrone, true to form, couldn’t help but post a link to a Torontoist story about transit cuts in the minutes leading up the big moment. At the time of publication, the like count on his post is 135.

Adam Giambrone was a better chair of the Toronto Transit Commission than Karen Stintz is now.
W.K —> so true indeed. He had vision and some degree of strategy. This Stinz talk like Rob Ford – she is so condescending, reactive and think she knows it all. She should stand for 15 minutes and wait on the St Clair or Queen street car.

Once a cheater, always a cheater.
I don’t like Stintz, but Giambrone was a terrible TTC Chair. And a terrible Councillor. And I say that as someone who votes NDP. Have people really forgotten how in response to customers (and journalists) raising concerns about how dirty the system had become, he had the gall to say that the complainers were mistaken because “TTC had conducted research showing that cleanliness had really improved” (or something along those lines)? Giambrone is not a stupid person. His problem is that he thinks he is smarter than he actually is — and that everyone else is stupid. And he acts accordingly. No, he wasn’t the first politician to be caught cheating — and lying about it. But what was truly despicable was that he and his handlers tried to insinuate to Toronto Star journalists that the young lady who claimed to have had an affair with him was whacko and making the whole thing up. That’s not defensible no matter how you cut it.
It’s not just about his messy cheating. Lest we forget, how about his outrageous expenses? Including $20,000 to write his own report, AND $16,000 on a video version of the report?! He was the first TTC chair ever to exceed his budget of $125,000. Oh, and this is in addition to the $50,000 office budget he got as a city councillor.
I almost feel sorry for her, but she should know what to expect from him, and if her self worth was so little that she still married him then I cant really feel sorry for her. Some women know what they are in store for, but are so desperate to get married that they turn a blind eye. And this is only the beginning…
