Address: 228 Palmerston Avenue
Neighbourhood: Little Italy
Agent: William Wallace, RE/MAX Hallmark Realty Ltd., Brokerage
Price: $1,399,000

The Place: A renovated, four-bedroom semi with a finished basement in Little Italy.

The History: Not your standard quick flip, this home was completely renovated over the course of 14 years. The owners worked with Studio Pyramid on a number of upgrades, including a complete revamp of the kitchen, completed in 2014. There’s also a full-floor master suite with a private rooftop deck.

Big Selling Point: It’s hard to find a better location. This house is dead centre between College Street’s burgeoning restaurant row (which now includes both DaiLo and Bar Raval), Kensington Market and Trinity Bellwoods Park.

Possible Deal Breaker: Like many older homes, this one doesn’t have a ton of closet space. The current owners addressed the problem by adding a spacious dressing room—but it came at the expense of a smallish third bedroom.

By The Numbers:

• $1,399,000
• $5,602.49 in property taxes (2015)
• 2,894 square feet
• 4 bedrooms
• 3 bathrooms
• 3 storeys
• 2-car garage
• 2 gas fireplaces
• 1 skylight
