Address: 1045 Hemlock Ridge Road
Neighbourhood: Dwight, Ontario
Agent: Jay Richardson and Stephen Leonard, Royal LePage Lakes of Muskoka Realty
Price: $3,000,000

The Place: A modern, spectacularly designed steel, wood and glass structure on Lake of Bays.

Bragging Rights: This cottage was designed by Shim-Sutcliffe Architects, a firm probably best known for its work on Toronto’s Integral House, a home so famous that it’s now the subject of a documentary.

Big Selling Point: Though we wouldn’t recommend splashing around in it, the reflecting pool is a nice alternative to a swimming pool, and it’s one of the cooler water features we’ve seen at a cottage.

Possible Deal Breaker: The wall of windows in the main-floor living room lets nature inside, but good luck binging on Say Yes to the Dress all afternoon without feeling guilty about missing a day of sunshine.

• $3,000,000
• 2,667 square feet

• 4 bedrooms
