The condo’s main distinguishing feature is the spiral staircase, which leads up to the terrace:

The history

The seller bought the place after falling in love with its romantic autumn views of Mount Pleasant Cemetery. But the design—beige walls, outdated floors—lacked sophistication. She commissioned Tommy Smythe, an interior designer known for his appearances on HGTV, to remodel the space to match her limited-edition Coco Chanel Bearbrick figurine, a rare collector’s item once used in Chanel window displays that has sold for upwards of $20,000 at auction. Smythe added new engineered hardwood flooring and painted the spiral staircase a black-to-white gradient, among other things.
