Condomonium: $899,900 for a three-bedroom penthouse suite overlooking the Oakville lakeshore
ADDRESS: 60 Old Mill Road
NEIGHBOURHOOD: Oakville, Ontario
AGENT: Agnes Chaitas, Coldwell Banker Terrequity Realty
PRICE: $899,900
THE PLACE: A two-level, three-bedroom penthouse suite with ample terrace space overlooking Sixteen Mile Creek and the Oakville lakeshore. The building’s equipped with a gym, indoor pool and guest suites.
BRAGGING RIGHTS: The omnipresent floor-to-ceiling windows and soaring 18-foot ceilings put the condo in the running for the brightest home we’ve ever seen.
BIG SELLING POINT: This apartment is big enough for a family. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a three-bedroom penthouse condo in the core that’s under a million dollars. Sure, it’s outside the city, but Oakville isn’t exactly a backwater. There’s a Whole Foods down the street and the G0 station is just a 10-minute walk away.
POSSIBLE DEAL BREAKER: Inside, the cheery yellow paint scheme may guard against the winter blues, but a step onto the terrace and you’ll be rudely reminded that this ain’t California: the view of grey streets and leafless trees break the illusion of a warmer clime.

amazing… but the kitchen looks odd compared to the rest.. impressive and worthy of thet price…
The bathroom is a knock out! Wow Wow Wow!!!
With so many condo developments up I don’t know if its a smart time to be buying a condo in this price point. If the market goes down, which I think it will, condors will be the first ones to be affected (especially in the suburbs).
xoxoxo.. if people have the cash and can afford it, who are you to decide if a smart time to be buying a condo? Join all the naysayers and doomsayers who have been predicting the market downfall for the past 8 years, it will happen but must the city stop waiting or continue to rock and roll?!
The GO train station is actually 20 seconds by foot from the front door. Look left on the balcony and you will see the train tracks. It’s a great area to be in, 25 minutes by express train to Union Station. We lived in 40 Old Mill and loved it there, extremely convenient and a nice building to be in. Lots of seniors.
900K to live by the train tracks – in Oakville! really?
Alice… for a beautiful great condo…. YES.. or would you rather pay $900K to live by the train tracks in Toronto called Cityplace in s dump with poor workmanship and rattling windows in a mass produced upper St jamestown?!
Nice place. Great for well-to-do empty nesters. Easy commute to the city, Oakville living. This is a gorgeous building too, not a slapped together waterfront deal.
Re the reviewer’s comment that it is grey outside the windows, it is trees as far as the eye can see with a hint of the lake. The trees may be bare since it’s the middle of winter (and, yes, GTA is not California), but this will be stunning three seasons a year.
Many nice touches, good-sized rooms. Maybe I should put in an offer…
Oakville is not California.
Toronto is not New York.
Who knew?
