Send your budding Tom Thomson to the gallery’s two-week-long day camp. Depending on age, instruction is offered in everything from basic drawing and painting to digital art and sculpture. Graph-X classes, which include learning about zines, street art and silkscreening, offer an unconventional alternative for older kids. Six- and seven-year-olds spend time exploring outdoors, and making maps and footprints. Classes are small (there are never more than 15 students under the care of one instructor and one councillor). New this year are half-hour pre-camp yoga classes for kids. Pre-registration is required. Ages six to 13.
Hours:
June 30 to Aug. 22, two-week sessions M–F 9–4; yoga classes M–F 8:30 a.m.–9 a.m.
How much:
AGO members $405–$450, non-members $515–$560
