One of the few dance schools in North America to teach classes in the formal style of the Beijing Dance Academy. The syllabus includes classical Chinese dance, national folk dances and rhythm training for children aged five to 18. Designed according to each age group, classes are steeped in the 5,000-year history of Chinese dance, with a bit of ballet and modern dance thrown into the mix.
Hours:
weeknights and Sundays; fall, winter, spring and summer sessions; private classes available by appointment.
How much:
$12–$15 per hour, $35–$50 per hour for private lessons.
